Donovan to release comeback album

Former 'Neighbours' star Jason Donovan is to exit his number 1 album in 15 long time.

Inspired by music from the recent 1950s and early sixties, 'Let It Be Me' will be released in November.

ITN says that the record album features unexampled versions of classic songs like 'Blue Velvet' and 'Love Hurts'.

The Australian born 40-year-old has had a routine of previous hit pop songs, including 'Too Many Broken Hearts', and has enjoyed a TV comeback in recent years.

He came third in ITV's show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here!' in 2006 and went on to come along in the soap 'Echo Beach' with Martine McCutcheon.

Donovan matrimonial his age girlfriend and the mother of his two children, Angela Malloch, in a ceremony in Bali in June.

Mark Ronson - Ronson Jackson Hated Watching Porn

Producer MARK RONSON once tried to make his childhood pal MICHAEL JACKSON watch porn - but the pop superstar hated the experience and wasn't amused.

Ronson, whose father Laurence was a band manager, used to spend his time in the company of John Lennon's son Sean and Jackson as they were growing up.

The trio would frequently have sleepovers - but when Ronson and Lennon used to switch over the TV to the pornography channel, Jackson was left cringing with embarrassment.

He recalls, "It's a weird story, but I didn't touch him. We (Ronson and Lennon) used to watch the porn channel because we were like 10 and, 'Oh my God, tits!' So Michael was in bed. And me and Sean said, 'Michael do you want to see something cool?'

"We turned the dial to the porn channel and there were strippers shaking their tits around. We were like, 'Michael, Michael, how cool is this?' We turned around and he was cringing, saying, 'Ooh stop it, stop it, ooh it's so silly.' We were like, 'Michael, you have to look, maybe you're not seeing it right, it's naked girls!'

"He was not down with the programme whatsoever! I think he had really strong feminist views on porn."

Ronson's comments were made during the taping of British gameshow the Sunday Night Project, which is due to air in the U.K. on Sunday (22Jun08).

Madge -- Burned by Her Own Bro?

One person who knows where Madonna's bodies are buried –- her brother Christopher –- is apparently going to reveal 'em all in an upcoming book.

Christopher, with whom Her Madgesty fell out with years ago, is writing a saucy tell-all that comes out next month. And sources tell the New York Post that it's going to ride rough on Madonna. "It's extremely graphic and devastating," says a source. "He wrote it on the sly without telling Madonna."

Or, as a pal of Madonna put it, "Oh, my."

Heigl Hates on Her Own Writers

You have to hand it to Katherine Heigl: Girl does not pull her punches.

She's yanked herself from consideration for an Emmy, says the L.A. Times, because, she says, the writing on "Grey's Anatomy" sucked –- at least the stuff she had to read. "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination," she says.

Wonder how good that material's going to be now.

Babs Ditches Hill, Backs Barack

Barbra Streisand –- lifetime F.O.C. (Friend of Clintons?) Not so fast.

It looks like Babs is jumping on the Obama-wagon now that her pal Hillary got beat: The L.A. Times reports that Streisand has "offered to help" in B.O.'s run for the White House. This is the same Barbra Streisand who's been such a strident supporter of the Bill-and-Hill show for years.

Nothing's solid yet, but Obama's H-wood backers hope she'll at least sing at some campaign events.

Party Favors: Lynne Spears Set to Exploit Brit, Finally ... Paul Newman Pal Backtracks on Cancer Claim

Lynne Spears' big memoir about raising Britney and Jamie Lynn (one presumes, not a how-to) will be out on shelves this fall, its publisher tells People. The book was put on hold when J-L got knocked up. It'll be called "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World." ... Paul Newman's friend A.E. Hotchner tells Access Hollywood that he never said anything about Paul having cancer, as the AP reported yesterday. He says he was misquoted. And Newman maintains that he's doing "nicely."

Teens check into German twins' Tokio Hotel

Move over Jonas Brothers, the Kaulitz twins are moving in.
The 18-year-old Kaulitz brothers comprise half of Tokio Hotel, a German glam-pop quartet that is creating Beatles-like hysteria among the teen set in their native land. They’ve sold close to 3 million CDs and DVDs in Germany, and are hoping to replicate that rabid fan base in the United States.
For Tokio Hotel, the visual is as vital as the vocals and is propelled by lead singer Bill Kaulitz’s anime look: straightened, teased black hair; heavy eye makeup that accentuates his delicate, androgynous, doll-like features; chain necklaces and vintage rock ’n’ roll T-shirts. He’s so thin he appears almost one-dimensional on stage, adding to the cartoonlike appeal. Tom Kaulitz, the older brother by 10 minutes, developed his hip-hop/ dreads look when he was 7 or 8, in part as a way to differentiate himself from his identical twin.

The Kaulitz brothers began playing guitar when they were 7 - the instruments were gifts from their musician stepfather. By the time they were in their mid-teens, they were playing in clubs.
Their mother’s backing was not only desired, but vital: “We needed the support of our parents because we had no car, no money,” Bill Kaulitz said.
Mom has long since stopped driving the band to gigs; they have people who do that for them now as they have accumulated a team during their meteoric rise. The group’s first single, “Through the Monsoon,” went to No. 1 in Germany in 2005, a pair of No. 1 albums and sold-out European tours followed.
After witnessing the spectacle at the band’s February appearance at New York’s Gramercy Theatre, Amy Doyle, MTV’s senior VP of music and talent, became a convert. “I could not believe the line outside of screaming teen girls,” she said. “It reminded me of the audience of the late ’90s and 2000 for Backstreet Boys and ’N Sync.”
But the band has a long way to go before they reach Backstreet- or ’N Sync-like sales - since the group’s CD was released in April, it has sold approximately 23,000 copies.
“It’s so cool that we have fans already here. But we are at the beginning,” said Bill Kaulitz. “We really want to be successful in America, we really want to try it. There are not so many German bands who get the chance to come to America to play.”

Coldplay Ask Joy Division Film Director To Make New Video

Coldplay have enlisted film director Anton Corbjin to direct the video to their next single.

Singer Chris Martin gave nothing away when he told the Sun: "We're trying an experiment with him. It could be a disaster, but it could be OK."

Anton Cobjin had previously worked with Coldplay in 2005, when he directed the video for their single 'Talk'.

He also recently directed the movie 'Control', which was released last year, a film that told the story of the life of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis.

Slipknot reveal new album details

Slipknot's fourth album is to be titled 'All Hope Is Gone', and will be released August 26.

Frontman Corey Taylor told Billboard that the album would be the best body of work the band had recorded yet.

"We have made an album that will show the road behind, the road ahead, and where we are as men," he said. "I think it's the best thing I've ever made... It's controlled chaos that hits you right out of the gate."

The new album will be the band's third studio album, and their first since 2002's 'Iowa'.
